Standing like a tree
Zhan Zhuang is an ancient Chinese Energy Exercise based on a series of static postures.
We are Dragon Nation, and we offer health and wellbeing training programmes, suitable for anyone who cares about their mind and body.
This a tried and tested holistic approach to exercising, the way they used to do it way back when in ancient China. The system that has been handed down from Master to Student for the past 2,700 years.
All areas of human activity – physical, mental and spiritual – depend on the quality, abundance and free flow of our energy. The Zhan Zhuang Qigong (pronounced Jam Jong Chi Kung and commonly translated as ‘Standing like a tree’) training programme is based on a series of static postures and gentle movements; which are suitable for all ages, abilities and lifestyles. It helps relieve stress, tension and anxiety; relax and calm the mind; improve posture, balance and co-ordination; improve circulation, develop strength, stamina and flexibility. With dedicated personal practice, these simple exercises are the secret key for a healthy and happy and joyful life.
My aim is to (hopefully) follow in the footsteps of the great chi kung masters, healers and teachers, and to pass-on my knowledge and inspire the Nation of Wales to Get Up, Stand Still and Be Fit.
We offer everything from weekly community lessons to personal one to one training and corporate stress relieving sessions.
